Prof. Antony Narula
Tony Narula was a consultant otorhinolaryngologist at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, Charing Cross Hosptial and Hammersmith Hospital. He was also an Honorary Consultant at Chelsea & Westminster and Royal Brompton Hospitals and took early retirement in Dec 2014. He has a special interest in children with ear, nose and throat disorders and hearing problems. He was elected the President of the British Society of Otology 2010 – 2012. He was awarded an Honorary Professorship from Middlesex Hospital in 2003 and has been national clinical lead for ENT for the NHS Modernisation Agency, winning a Beacon award in 1999 for waiting list management and innovation.
He has an interest in medical politics and served as President of both the Association of Otolaryngologists in Training and the Young Consultant Otolaryngologists. He was editor of the CME Bulletin Otolaryngology and instigated a diploma course for GPs to learn more about Otolaryngology (DepENT). He was elected to the Council of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2004 where he was the Honorary Treasurer and served as President of ENT UK from 2015-2017.
